BR. Kingdom founded in 1822 by the son of the 19th Mukama (King) of Bunyoro. Kingdom reunited with Bunyoro from 1876 to 1891 when the Kingdom of Toro was restored. The Kingdom was abolished, along with the three other Ugandan kingdoms in 1967 by Prime Minister Dr A. Milton Obote and restored in 1993 by President Yoweri Museveni. The capital city is Fort Portal, 300 km from Kampala. Language is Rutooro. The royal rites are called Emapango (Almanach).
