Scope note
Created in 1970 to facilitate the exchange of cultural, technological, scientific, and educational ideas among the French-speaking countries and regions of the world. In 1998 ACCT became the Intergovernmental Agency of La Francophonie, which in 2005 became the International Organisation of La Francophonie or Organisation Internationale de La Francophonie (OIF).
