Scope note
Group of Southern African languages that share click consonants and were originally classified together by Joseph Greenberg. However, according to current understanding, not all of these languages are genealogically related. The original grouping also included two Tanzanian languages (Hadza and Sandawe). Hadza and Sandawe are today considered language isolates.
